Ram Temple Consecration: Ayodhya’s luxury hotels are fully booked, one room costs over INR 70,000rs per day

The rates of hotel rooms have skyrocketed up to five times in Ayodhya with the whole city sporting ‘no availability’ boards.

With the consecration (Pran Pratishta) of Ram Lalla scheduled for January 22, the rituals at  Ayodhya’s Ram temple have already started. The main event will be held on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will be joined by President Droupadi Murmu, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the state governor Anandiben Patel, and the president of the temple trust, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, besides 7,000 dignitaries from various walks of life including business, sports and entertainment.

Since PM Modi took part in a “Bhoomi Pujan” on August 5, 2020, to commemorate the construction of the magnificent Ram Mandir, Ayodhya has experienced a significant makeover.

Following the anticipation around the occasion , the prices of hotel rooms in Ayodhya have increased dramatically. About  3 to 5 lakhs devotees from all over the nation are expected to arrive in Ayodhya. The majority of Ayodhya’s hotels are now fully booked, and the ones that still have rooms available for these dates have seen a sharp increase in prices.

A video vent viral on the internet, claiming the hotel prices in Ayodhya has increased to an astounding Rs 1 lakh per night. The video shows how “no availability” is displayed on online sites, and rents have risen to five times the average. “The Park Inn Radisson’s top room hits the Rs 1 lakh mark,” claims the user.
